Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialty field in dentistry that requires additional years of residency in hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. Blecha and Dr. Jandali manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Drs. Blecha and Jandali practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with experience ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. Today implants can be placed at the time of tooth extraction if the situation is optimal. In other cases, the tooth should be removed first. Drs. Blecha and Jandali are very experienced in many techniques to reconstruct the bone for implants when the bone has been lost through dental disease or trauma. However, Drs. Blecha and Jandali try to avoid extensive bone grafting in rendering implant treatment.
Drs. Blecha and Jandali are trained in providing intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting, depending upon your medical evaluation and condition. Patient safety is our priority. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery and anesthesia.
